Description
WinI2C/DDC is a powerful solution that allows to control display devices in Windows environment via DDC/CI protocol. It allows to send DDC/CI commands via standard video cable (VGA, DVI, HDMI) and control display devices that support DDC/CI protocol: CRT/LCD monitors, projectors, plasma displays etc.WinI2C/DDC is the fastest and cost-effective way to create such software as color calibration solutions or OSD-replacement utilities. WinI2C/DDC library can be very useful in many projects, for example, it can be integrated into any asset management software for providing all necessary information about display devices installed.
WinI2C/DDC API allows to perform all necessary operations with display devices:
- Enumeration of all monitors installed.
- Getting DDC/CI monitor capabilities.
- Reading EDID (extended display identification data) directly from a monitor. EDID contains basic information about a monitor and its capabilities, including vendor information, maximum image size, color characteristics, factory pre-set timings, frequency range limits, and character strings for the monitor name and serial number.
- Reading and changing such monitor settings as brightness, contrast, screen position, size, colors gain, etc.
- Execution of any commands that display device supports via DDC/CI.
