Main features:
  • precomputed Collision Detection data using OpenGL hardware z-buffer (CDNR2)
  • software skinning mesh animation with skeleton bone weights support
  • mesh exporting script for Blender 3D 2.45 (skeletal animation & static objects)
Examples included: skeletal animation example demonstrates horse 3d model by Damien McGinnes, collision detection example demonstrates 3d level by katbits. Basic idea of collision detection example: we are using many glReadPixels captured z-buffer images to represent 3D scene as 2d-layers of height data (pre-rendered). In this way we can use easy and fast 2d collision detection and response algorithms in full featured 3d world (3d-to-2d and 2d-to-3d).
