Description

Savungan is a stateful inspection firewall designed for Microsoft Windows platforms. Security administrators have had some difficulties to build and maintain a dynamic filtering infrastructure after deploying a firewall. Especially on dynamic IP environments, keeping a true set of firewall rules requires in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite and its dynamically changing standards. To make their task easier, Savungan gives control at all layers, from physical layer to application layer. Savungan is the only firewall which filters traffic at layer 2 ( i.e block traffic according to MAC addresses). With Savungan, administrators can write filtering rules for layer 2 protocols including but not limited to ARP/RARP, differentiate physical interfaces and apply seperate set of rules for each of them.
