Description

CNetDAC is a set of classes that expose data access services in the Microsoft .NET platform. CNetDAC provides a rich set of components for creating distributed, data-sharing applications. With its powerful common architecture base on ADO.Net, CNetDAC provides consistent access to data sources such as SQL Server, ORACLE, data sources exposed through OLE DB and ODBC, SQL Server Compact and many more exposed via .Net framework Data providers. Data-sharing consumer applications can use CNetDAC to connect to these data sources and retrieve, handle, and update the data that they contain.

CNetDAC separates data access from data manipulation into discrete components that can be used separately or in tandem. CNetDAC uses .NET Framework data providers for connecting to a database, executing commands, and retrieving results.
