EC Software Help Suite v.1.90

By EC Software.

Freeware + source 02 Jun 2015

Description

This component suite covers every help related task in a Delphi application and completes the help functions supplied by Delphi. 4 powerful components manage context sensitive help, the instant implementation of HTML HELP and training card help:
  • TWhatsThis - automates right-click context sensitive "What's this?"-help and implements a fully automated context sensitive help mode similar to MS Word. Drop a TWhatsThis component on your main form and instantly enable context help menus for all controls without a single code line. What's more, it enables right-click help for menu items and gives you full control over the F1 key.
  • THelpRouter - builds a bridge to HTML HELP without extra coding. It manages the translation of help calls and context sensitive help. This component is the successor of the former THTMLHelpRouter. New functions: support for context sensitive HTML HELP popups and mixed-mode help (HTML HELP plus Winhelp popup windows).
  • THelpContextMap - stores help context numbers and their associated topic IDs in a compressed form with ultra-fast searching. It reads help context numbers directly from a help project file (Winhelp and HTML HELP) and is designed to work with TWhatsThis.
  • TTrainingCard - simplifies the implementation of Winhelp training cards. Training card help is a kind of wizard in HLP format that interacts with your application.

FormHelp v.3.8.4

By UtilMind Solutions.

Shareware 25 Mar 2006

Description

The FormHelp component adds the context-sensitive help features to your Delphi/BCB forms without any bulky help files. It traps the context-sensitive help calls and creates its own popup windows from a control’s hint. You can choose whether to interpret the hint string as plain text or as kind of rich text allowing you to apply different fonts colors, styles and line breaks. Don’t worry about your hints — FormHelp uses the secondary part of a control's hint that is separated by a vertical bar «|». Mouse hints still works as well. With FormHelp, neither help context numbers nor extra help files are required to display context sensitive help.

FormHelp’s popup windows looks and feels like native context help in standard Windows applications.

The FormHelp component can apply the «What’s This?» menu item to every control with context-sensitive help in the secondary part of hint, and invokes the help after pressing the «Help» button on the title bar or after selecting «What’s This?» menu item.

For easement of context-help developing, component contains a WYSIWYG help designer (drop FormHelp onto your form and try to edit secondary part of Hint property of any visible control like TButton, TCheckBox or TGroupBox) and may have an additional button on form’s title bar.

New in v3.8: WinXP look of «?» caption button.

Freeware 14 Sep 2006

Description

What can HTMLHelp Connect do for you?

HTMLHelp Connect is a component for Delphi developers to easy integrates HTML Help in applications. HTMLHelp Connect is available for Delphi 5, 6 and 7.

HTMLHelp Connect is the other way to write context sensitive direct help without help context numbers. It enables you to write the context help direct in the help topic for the form. Add the component to your application.

You need not write separate help topics for each context, but you can do it. You need not assign help context numbers in the Delphi IDE property editor for the controls, but you can do it.

Context sensitive direct help does not show in a separate popup window. It is only a bookmark for the component help statement, placed in the help topic for the form.

For example: The name of the topic is the form name + '.htm'. The bookmark A NAME="..." is the component name of controls in the form, you want create help for. Bookmarks enable you to link to a specific location in a help topic. For direct help the HTMLHelp Connect does simply jump to the bookmark.
