Description

dBASE Viewer displays one or more dBASE or FoxPro files supported by BDE 5. Supports editing, filtering, indexing and relationships. Prints and stores table structure(s). Creates dBASE Level 5 & 7 and FoxPro tables. Can use Send To (or other file manager equivalent) to view the selected file. The entire desktop can be saved and restored.

I have found it useful in developing applications. dBASE Viewer can be used to define tables and then automatically create a data module for the application. Test data can be created and resulting database updates viewed.

Version 2.0 added capabilities to copy records into a cloned table, to Reindex and ZAP a table, to open an entire database, to generate a Delphi unit to create tables, several refinements to the user interface, and improved error handling capabilities.

Version 3.0 adds the capability to create a Delphi data module to access the set of currently open tables.

Version 3.3 adds the ability to specify the block size in the memo field file instead of using the 1024 byte block size created by the BDE. It also corrects a table-linking problem when saving a desktop containing multiple instances of the same table.

Version 3.4 fixes error.
