Description: TXCheckList is a component that displays a list of strings with arrows or checkmarks in front of them, as you might have seen in the Windows 2000 or Office 2000 installation programs. TXCheckList was programmed using Borland Delphi 5 Enterprise, but should work in Delphi 3 and 4, but it won't work in C++ Builder. If you find any bugs or way to enhance this component, please let me know. The activeX.bmp and checkedX.bmp files (replace X with a number from 1 to 3) are some additional samples for checkmarks and arrows for use with the component.

Version information: This is version 1.0 of the component, released publicly on the 1st of May 2001. Future versions will (probably) follow.

Installation: Installation is a snap:

  1. Unzip the contents of the zip file (remember to use full paths when extracting) to a directory of your choice
  2. Copy the two files inside the Component folder, XCheckList.pas and XCheckList.res, to your Delphi\Lib folder.
  3. Install the component by clicking  Component, Install Component on the menu. Select the package you wish, I recommend dclusr5.dpk.
  4. You can find the component under the Additional tab.

Usage: TXCheckList is very easy to use, for an almost complete work through, see the test program, included in the ZIP file.
